Chicken Scratch

Chicken Scratch is hands down one of my favorite restaurants ever. Chef Tia knows how to make good fried chicken and everything involving that. Their menu is massive with lots of unique loaded fries, wings, anything chicken really. The Fried chicken Alfredo fries is likely one of the best things I have ever eaten. The chicken is bursting with flavor and is crispy, the fries have great seasoning, the Alfredo is mouth watering, and the Parmesan is a great touch. Overall, if in Indianapolis looking for good delivery, order from Chicken Scratch. You won’t regret it!

I ordered a half wing combo with mango habanero wings and hot honey Mac and cheese fries, hot honey Mac and cheese loaded fries, children’s fried chicken Alfredo, grilled chicken and shrimp Alfredo, and naked garlic Buffalo and Cajun ranch tenders. I highly recommend the loaded fries and wings. My son enjoyed his pasta and I’ll probably eat his chicken since he didn’t touch that. My daughter loved her fries. I’ll have to update feedback for the chicken and shrimp pasta. I didn’t really enjoy the naked tenders. I thought they would be grilled or fried naked. The flavor was there but I didn’t like the texture. I’ll definitely be ordering again.

Seriously delicious!! We ordered on Ubereats and even though it was in transit for a while, preparation was quick and thoughtful and the food was still hot and fresh. Just moved to Indy from Orlando and was trying to fine our new go-to tender place. This place takes the cake. The tenders were so moist and flavorful. We got the cheese fries and, boy oh boy, were they a labor of love. HUGE portion and cheesed up. Don’t even get me started on the sauces. Ranch, hot honey, hot BBQ. All perfect. Chicken scratch will definitely be seeing more of us.

Order: -Honey Hot Chicken Mac Fries: The chicken was SUCCULENT & FLAVORFUL!! The Mac had the perfect amount of cheese! The fries were soft with a hint of sweetness! The combination was SAVORY with a hint of sweetness with an implosion of flavor!! 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 Superior quality food with great quantity! I was able to split this into 2 meals. -Flavor of the Day Lemonade (Passion fruit Lemonade): The lemonade was sweet, but not too sweet, & blended well. It was perfect for a summer day! Service: -Walk-in order: Quick, easy, & friendly service. It only took about 11mins to get my order, which was great since it was a really busy time. I highly recommend trying Chicken Scratch! I will most certainly be returning!

I got a lot to share so please bear with my long review! I’m not gonna knock this place for taking so long to get our order, they were super busy and I completely understand why after eating their food! We’re in town from out of state and saw this place through a Facebook post and knew we had to try it. First thing I noticed was the limited parking. This place shares a building with a couple other businesses so there’s only a couple spaces in front reserved for customers, then there’s maybe 12-15 spaces in the back (which were all full when we arrived). So plan to park nearby and walk during busy hours (there’s a shopping center next door). This is not a dine in restaurant so plan to order at the counter or order pickup. We came here around 7:30 and they were slammed with DoorDash orders, so our carry out order took almost an hour to get - but again, worth it! I’d recommend ordering pick up to limit the wait time. There are chairs inside so you can sit down while you wait for your food. It was also pretty warm inside since the kitchen is not closed off so consider waiting in your car if this makes you uncomfy. Once we did get our food - HEAVEN! Yes, their food does taste as good as it looks. If we’re ever back in Indy we will definitely come back!
